This workbook contains exercises that develop your child’s ability to add, subtract, compare, and order numbers up to 1000, work with a number line, and repeat place values (tens and ones).

Children repeat skip-counting, learn to count with regrouping, solve equations and inequalities, make and continue numerical sequences, find its missing element, work with a coordinate plane and two-dimensional shapes, and learn to read graphs and diagrams.

In addition, some problems help kids to improve their memory and logical thinking.

Description

A feature of our workbooks is the symbiosis of mental arithmetic and classical mathematics.

Mental arithmetic is a UNIQUE method of teaching children that trains the speed of perception and processing of information and allows them to harmoniously develop both hemispheres of the brain simultaneously by mentally visualizing the calculations on the abacus. An acquired brain is a basis for successful future activities.

The workbook contains exercises that help children to identify and continue numerical sequences and find their missing element, master actions such as addition and subtraction with regrouping, consolidate the concepts of greater than / less than / equal to, remember how numbers are written and dialed on the abacus; count on an abacus in three or more steps.

Children learn related addition and subtraction facts, fractions, identify true or false statements, turn addition and subtraction word sentences into numeric expressions, solve equations and inequalities, read and fill Venn diagrams and picture graphs, find a previous and following number, and solve word problems.

Also, children repeat place values (tens and ones), find the same and different objects, count edges and corners in two-dimensional shapes, make and continue patterns (including growing patterns), continue numerical sequences and find their missing element, and tell time on analog clocks.

In addition, children prepare to multiply and make skip-counting patterns with tables, learn to add and subtract multiples of 10 and work with a coordinate plane.

The material consists of 10 lessons plus additional exercises for homework to repeat.

The workbook contains many funny pictures and exciting tasks that create positive motivation for learning and actively develop children’s logical thinking, memory, attention, and intelligence.
