Description
A feature of our workbooks is the symbiosis of mental arithmetic and classical mathematics.
Mental arithmetic is a UNIQUE method of teaching children that trains the speed of perception and processing of information and allows them to harmoniously develop both hemispheres of the brain simultaneously by mentally visualizing the calculations on the abacus. An acquired brain is a basis for successful future activities.
The workbook contains exercises that teach children to identify numbers as even or odd, learn about numerical sequences, master actions such as addition and subtraction, increase/decrease the number of objects using a number line, consolidate the concepts of greater-less-equal, remember how numbers are written and dialed on the abacus; learn to count on
an abacus in three or more steps.
Also, children learn to tell time, solve word and time problems, work with coordinates, add and subtract with regrouping, and work with Venn diagrams and picture graphs.
In addition, children repeat tally marks and skip-counting, which gives them a fundamental understanding of multiplication, learn and repeat place values (hundreds, tens, and ones), learn fractions (halves and quarters), find true and false statements, learn tally marks, solve equations and inequalities, repeat coins names and values.
Children learn addition and subtraction strategies, turn words into math expressions, and work with number patterns and a coordinate plane.
The material comprises 10 lessons plus additional homework exercises.
The workbook contains many funny pictures and exciting tasks that create positive motivation for learning and actively develop children’s logical thinking, memory, attention, and intelligence.
